Working through submissions

I have read numerous submissions today. So far, this is the breakdown:

2 short stories and 3 poems for May 2011 comedy issue, keep submissions coming!

2 short stories and 3 poems for Aug. 2011 issue. I will read for Aug. as well so keep them coming!

I did have to send out a few rejections today, which is difficult, but it is part of the process. None of the rejections were for bad writing, so this made the decision even more difficult. The stories just weren't what I was looking for at this time.

Happy Writing!

Fictitious Magazine is doing well. Keep those comedy sumbissions coming for May 2011! I am planning to publish the magazine four times a  year starting in 2012, but for now there  will a second issue in May and a third in October. Tales from Imagination's Closet will be out March 2011. I will have links and updates soon!

My new project is publishing my series of children's stories. The character are the Hairingtons. They  are literally little hair people with some funny stories to entertain children of all ages. I plan for the first book to be out early 2011, and I am  currenlty working on a website for these characters. More to come...

Fictitious Magazine

First issue is almost complete and will be ready to view on Dec. 1st. There are six wonderful stories and one lovely poem by some talented authors. Come by and read their work and if you like what you read, take a look at the authors' bios and follow their links to read more of their work, or just read more about the author. http://www.fictitiousmag.webs.com/

Second issue will be May 1st, and I'm looking for comedy of any genre. I am also hoping for more poetry as well (funny poetry for the May issue.) If you have something you think is funny send it my way. The submission guidelines are at the site.

In my own publishing news, The Other Herald, has accepted my short story, "Viral Smiles," for their April 2011 issue. It is a print magazine, so no links to the story only to the website. http://www.otherherald.com/

Fictitious Magazine is underway!

I 've received several submissions thus far and have two chosen to use in the first isssue. I have not received any poetry submission and I would love to add some, at least two, to the first issue. I will be taking submissions thru Nov. 19th and would love to have plenty of wonderful stories to choose from, and maybe some to add to the second issue.
